“We are such stuff As dreams are made on; and our little life Is rounded with a sleep.”
~ William Shakespeare (Prospero, The Magician. The Tempest)
I am so happy to introduce six new paintings in my ‘Dreams’ series, now available at Echo Beach Gallery in Ilfracombe.
At the beginning of this year, I felt compelled to create a series of Dreams paintings. They serve as reminders that we all have the power to manifest a more beautiful world.
When life feels overwhelming, the serenity of natural landscapes never fails to calm me down and help me to gain perpective.
Spending time in these environments also helps me to realise what feels true and real to me.
It's the perfect time to close my eyes and dream of the kind of future I would like to see.
The way we perceive the world is so greatly influenced by the information we choose to absorb, and whether we choose to come from a place of fear, or a place of love.
But life is supposed to be a joyful and expressive experience.
I remember this when I take myself outside to fill my lungs under sweeping skies rich in drama.
I see sublime luminosity in the vast, open, expansive scenes and they fill up my heart!
Spending time in nature is what reconnects me to my inner peace and intuition, and inspires me to paint.

Recently I’ve been spending more time than ever immersing myself in the vast, healing ocean.
Ducking under foaming waves and feeling any anxieties being swept away, my mind cleared and my heart opened.
The external influences in our world can be hugely challenging.
It’s therefore so important to take a break from the pressures, to recharge your energies and feel into what difference you want to make to yourself, and in turn, the world.
To get some insight into what feels right and true to you. To realise what thoughts and decisions are your own, not someone else’s.
My renditions of our well-loved North Devon beaches have been portrayed as if in a dream.
They are a celebration of the incredible beauty and power of our home planet, and my way of channeling the energy I feel in these landscapes.
They are paintings that reflect the heart and spirit of places where I feel most free.
I hope that you realise it is your absolute right to live a live of freedom, filled with inner tranquility and inner peace.
First step outside, then look within, it's all there waiting for you.
We are the creators of our world, our future and our destiny.
What is the dream you would like to see?
With much love and light
