Day 5 - Photography
So the irony is that today was booked in as a photography day.
I've six new miniature paintings all waiting to be photographed, but I only managed one before the light got too low.
To photograph my paintings ideally I need a really bright but overcast day. Daylight picks up all the details and textures without changing the colours of the artwork. I photograph my bigger pieces outside, so days like today when it's dull and constantly raining are useless!
I photograph my miniatures with props to give an indication of scale. The painting pictured here is an unframed study of morning mist on the sea.
It's also up for grabs! If you'd like a chance to win simply sign up to my mailing list at www.amyjobes.com/contact
The winner will be announced in the Spring newsletter. If spring ever arrives...!
