Day 22 - Sketchbook and Lists
I must admit I'm not using my sketchbooks that much at the moment. I did really get into it when we just had one little one. Whenever we went out we'd take it in turns to play with him. While I had my time off I'd do lots of plein air sketching. Now we have two little ones we're nearly always both on duty when we're out and about.
However now the evenings are getting longer I will be able to do more sketching and colour studies after the little ones are in bed. It's also a habit thing. Whilst I'm comfortable launching straight into a painting, I'd like to get back to the point where drawing and sketching is a daily practice. It's the best way to improve my techniques so it's good to have the intention!
Any other artists out there who sketch everyday? Do you give yourself a time slot or a cue? How do you make it work for you?
