Here are a few images of my painting 'Spirit of Buckland' being hung in the Georgian Dining room at Buckland Abbey....hanging where the Rembrandt portrait used to.
Such an honour!
Devon Art Pop's 'Spirit of Place' exhibition will be running at National Trust Buckland Abbey from 17 June until 17 July.
To keep updated please check into the Devon Art Pop Facebook page.
Since the Rembrandt portrait was confirmed to be an original by the master, it has been given it's own museum-like room at Buckland Abbey.
There you can find out what paints were used, how the artist built up the paint in layers and even shows how he changed his mind about some parts of the painting.
I found this show fascinating!
Having this along with the Devon Art Pop exhibition gives even more reason to visit the abbey this month.
